- Synopsis
- Women have been surfing for centuries in French Polynesia, the cradle nation of surfing. The practice used to be called horue, which means to glide on the waves in tahitian.
  The technique was not reserved for men, and this is still the case today, even if women are less numerous and less famous on the boards. However, hundreds of women enjoy the waves in Tahiti and the other islands of French Polynesia where the different swells make the practice possible for a large part of the year.
  
  This documentary allows us to portray female surfers with very different profiles. For example, Vahine Fierro, a young female surfer from the island of Raiatea who is pursuing an international career after being Junior World Champion in 2018.
