- Maxx has lived in Gothenburg, NE all his life despite being an excellent violist and apprentice of the local high school orchestra teacher, Dimitri. Gothenburg has a strange, exclusive tradition. Every year Dimitri performs a creepy solo on a hideous looking viola for the town’s elite. One year after the performance Dimitri is found dead. His daughter Stephanie, a world-famous cellist returns to take on the tradition, however the viola is missing. Maxx has secretly taken the instrument realizing that is allows him to communicate with an entity from another world who has promised to grant Maxx’s every wish. The love of Stephanie, wealth, and status in the town. The price seems small at first, end the life of someone suffering, but Maxx soon realizes the entity is in fact gaining power to break into our world and destroy it! Maxx must let go of his dreams to save the ones he loves and the entire world.
