    • Maxwell Sauder, a cantankerous and egotistical LA food critic, finds his life taking an unexpected detour when he’s abducted and transported across the border to Mexico. Under the assumption he’s to write a review for a restaurant with ties to a notorious cartel, Maxwell soon uncovers the truth behind his bizarre situation – he’s actually been deceived by Vicente, his inexperienced but well-meaning abductor. As the true cartel looms and stakes a claim on Vicente’s family-owned eatery, Maxwell is thrust into an unanticipated role where he must use his wits to help Vicente protect his legacy and outsmart the looming criminal threat.
