    • HER tells the story of the women who worked alongside a male music icon, those who were inspired by him and those who inspired him. The film will shed a light on the female artists who were integral to changing how the world looked at race, gender, sexuality and politics, through the lens of popular culture.

This multigenerational documentary will celebrate the untold stories of these influential female figures. HER is split into chapters based on different musical eras - with each section showcasing a group of female artists whose careers were ascendant at the time. From the 1970s, when the Minneapolis music scene was taking shape, to the glamorous 1980s and 1990s, and onwards to today’s generation of artists.
