- Synopsis
- Francisca (20) runs away from a family past that haunts her and, after being expelled from a guest house for non-payment, she is forced to try harder to achieve her wishes for better life expectations in Santiago de Chile.
  
  But Santiago is going through infinite convulsions, work is not easy to get and social demonstrations create a context of permanent instability around her. After several unsuccessful attempts, Francisca manages to find a job as a waitress and a new lodging, which she agrees to only with the lie of declaring herself to be a university student. There she meets Dany (21) and together they discover Santiago's nightlife, its most intimate and avant-garde nooks.
  
  In order to stay in her student house, Francisca enrolls in a university, and thanks to the tips that she collects, she seems to finally be finding a certain peace of mind.
  But around her, social tensions increase drastically, and after losing her job, Francisca faces serious money problems. To help her, the janitor at her pension, Alfredo (55), offers her to work as a cleaner in exchange for her rent, but the man, unstable and manipulative, suddenly falls on her, assaults her and tries to rape her.
  
  Francisca manages to escape from her, but she is left with no strength, no home, no job.
  Lost in her wanderings, an unprecedented social explosion ignites the country and suddenly falls on Santiago.
  Francisca joins the movement, as a last reflection of survival.
