- Each episode of Happy Hour History begins with a cocktail that is traced back to a historical event that changed our modern world forever. Jumping through time, series creator and host, David S. Mayne (Producer/Director of the PBS series The History Detectives) shakes up engaging tales with historical insights and a dash of humor, all brought to life through animations and period costumes..
  
  At the show’s conclusion, a notable guest bartender shows the viewer how to make the featured craft cocktail. The series features a stellar lineup of bartenders and industry influencers who detail the history of classic cocktails while mixing them to perfection.
