- Sonny Boone was always a fighter and a champion … but when he loses everything, he blames God. At his lowest point, Sonny is roaming the streets for a place to sleep and scrounging for food in a dumpster. When he meets Malachi Carpenter one evening outside a diner, he is given a free meal and a gentle nudge onto a path that he never expected.
