    • Synopsis
    • DEVENDRA KHURANA, a former-dreamer, wants his elder son Balli to return to India and live with the family but BALLI, a resident of New Zealand refuses to return. MRS. KHURANA, a patient of paranoia, is obsessed to find a good match for younger son YUVI but Yuvi is an ambitious entrepreneur with no interest in marriage. SANAH MUJHAVAR, Balli’s wife, is an overworked millennial paying off her mother’s debts but her single mother, LAILA is a hustler who usually puts her in bigger debts.

When Balli gifts the entire family a two-week trip to New Zealand and witness the magical southern lights to fulfil Mr. Khurana’s childhood dream, Mr. Khurana is detected with Stage IV Lung Cancer with only a few weeks to live. He keeps the news from the family but when the family is quarantined in New Zealand for Covid-19, he leads an escape to set out on a campervan road trip with INSPECTOR PARAMJEET chasing behind.

On the road, family-drama begins to play out as the family discovers underlaying issues in their relationships. Just as Paramjeet gets suspended for letting them escape, the family finds itself in a massive bar-brawl which compels the police to release their pictures in media but the family manage a thrilling burqa-clad escape. However, the campervan meets with an accident and Mr. Khurana’s health deteriorates. Just when Paramjeet nabs them, the family fights together and kidnaps him instead.

Finally, they reach the southern-most tip of New Zealand to view the Southern lights but it never appears. So Mr. Khurana offers to reveal his secret handycam video of the trip which they decline and eventually huddle under a single blanket and fall asleep. While the lights finally appear, Mr. Khurana instead chooses to watch the video alone and take his last breath.
