- Synopsis
- When Ryan discovers a bearded man, an injured Syrian army deserter hiding out in his local woods, evading the police, he becomes convinced that he is the father figure he is missing. His father was a ‘Paki’ after all and had a beard. Helping him with medical supplies, Ryan forms a bond with the man, despite their language barriers, but their relationship comes under threat from Ryan’s mum’s boyfriend, Jason, who has very distinctive views about immigration.
