- Synopsis
- Competing in the FAI Cup for the first time should have been St Peter’s Celtic’s finest hour, but when blundering assistant manager Fran Costello learns that some of his players have taken bribes to fix the match, he turns detective in the hope of catching the rats.
  
  Everyone is a suspect in this whodunnit. Working with the police, Fran finds himself in a unique position to infiltrate the criminal underworld that orchestrates matchfixing. At the same time, Fran’s life is further complicated by a slow-burning flirtation with Jackie Charlton, one of his player’s mothers. For someone who has used football to shy away from life, Fran is being catapulted headfirst into all it has to offer.
