    • Synopsis
    • Johnny Depp pays a call on his friend and hero Ralph Steadman and we take off on a high-spirited, raging and kaleidoscopic journey discovering the life and works of one of the most distinctive radical artists of the last 50 years.
Steadman rose to fame in the early 70’s when his satirical drawings began to challenge establishments on both sides of the Atlantic. He became known as the chief chronicler of the Gonzo movement through his long term collaboration with Hunter S. Thompson and his work on Thompson’s classic Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas has enshrined him as the pre-eminent counter culture artist.
Featuring appearances from Terry Gilliam, William Burroughs, Richard E Grant and intimate footage of Thompson over a soundtrack by the likes of Slash, FOR NO GOOD REASON is a riot of stories, animations and images compiled by director Charlie Paul over the last 15 years. It’s a fitting testament to a life lived without compromises.
