- Synopsis
- Two desperate strangers meet and soon turn into lovers. Danny Zhang, 27, is a young, boyishly handsome Chinese national, desperately ambitious to find the life of wealth and comfort that he so fiercely desires. Cerise Lam is a filthy rich and well-preserved 50-something socialite (a tai tai), whose absent husband is too busy with work and his mistresses to pay her any attention. Cerise buys Danny the luxurious life he’s always wanted, and Danny provides Cerise with the affection she craves. A vicious cycle of violence, followed by remorse and passionate reconciliation begins.
