- Synopsis
- 1934. On the train to Stockholm, where he is to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature, Luigi Pirandello relives the drama and magic of the characters which have populated his life and inspired his art.
  
  The ghosts of an entire existence pass before his gaze: the madness of his wife, unable to understand and accept the life choices of a predestined artist; the stormy relationship with his children, crushed by their father’s genius and therefore unable to fly with their own wings; the controversial relationship with fascism; the scandal of his theatre, which shocks bourgeois respectability; the dream of a never-realized, absolute love with Marta Abba, the very young actress he has chosen as his inspiring muse.
  The final journey of a visionary artist who, in the premonition of his end, refects on his fame and on its price.
