ELECTRA is the feature debut of lauded music video and commercial director Hala Matar, known for her work with Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Kenzo and Vivenne Westwood. The film is a millennial/Gen-Z riff on “La Piscine” and a dash of “Saltburn” with a cool, young cast led by Academy Award® nominee Maria Bakalova (“Bodies Bodies Bodies,” ”Borat 2”), Abigail Cowen (star of Netflix’s hit series “Fate: the Winx Saga”) and Jack Farthing (“Spencer,” 2024 Independent Spirit Award nominee for HBO Max’s “Rain Dogs”) along with Daryl Wein, who also produced and co-wrote the screenplay. Wein directed the Sundance 2021 pic “How It Ends,” which was acquired by MGM/AIP, and most recently directed Amazon's romantic hit “Something From Tiffany's” starring Zoey Deutch.
