    • Synopsis
    • Rodrigo wants to be a singer. His mother fully supports him, so she asks her husband, an important music producer, to take him to Buenos Aires and try their luck there. However, his father refuses categorically: he wants his son to finish his studies. It is only after being so moved by one of his compositions that Rodrigo manages to change his father’s mind. He finally decides the take on the challenge and travel with Rodrigo to Buenos Aires.
      Rodrigo makes a splash in the Tropical music scene as a romantic singer, where he makes a huge impact thanks his youth, his good looks and his magnetic persona. All of these set him apart from every other singer from that era. However, right when his career is starting to take off, he is blindsided by the tragic death of his father. This event sinks him into a deep depression - the kind that stops him from singing and leads him to retreat back to Córdoba with his family.
      Throughout this whole process Rodrigo eventually understands that life goes on, and that music is the one thing that will keep him going. Yet he decides that his comeback will be in the one musical genre that truly runs in his blood: CUARTETO.
      He returns to Buenos Aires and resumes his career as ‘El potro cordobés,’ accompanied by his musicians and a style that is uniquely his.
      He meets Patricia, they fall in love, and they have a child together. All while becoming immersed in an unstoppable singing career marked by popularity and excess.
      Rodrigo’s charisma and seductive stage presence help propel his career to new heights - yet rising to the top by making a whole country dance and sing makes the pitfalls that much deeper.
      Just like those idols who are loved blindly because of the passions they unleash, Rodrigo confronts all of his contradictions head on, and so he bursts with them. As he finds himself in the middle of this abyss, his little son will be the only hope that will help him get his life back on track.
