    • In a post-apocalyptic future, Paris is submerged. The Eiffel Tower has become the refuge of a community organized into castes, each identified by a color and a function. The Tower's floors symbolize the social hierarchy: on the second floor, the working castes; on the second, the scientific and administrative elites; at the top, the enigmatic Engineer, invisible dictator.

Fève, a young farmer from the green caste, saves Astate, a white engineer, from a suicide attempt linked to the ritual of Sacrifice imposed at age 60. Together, they challenge the Tower's dogmas and try to convince Astate's family to flee. Their rebellion leads them on a clandestine and dangerous adventure, where they confront the police (the Reds), treachery and the violence of the system.

Society falters as overpopulation threatens, outside alliances are forged, and young people dream of overthrowing an iniquitous order. Fève, scarred by the death of her mother during a previous revolt, must choose: submit or risk everything for freedom.
