    • Synopsis
    • On a cold winter night, eleven-year-old Isak suddenly disappears from the remote house he lives in with his stepfather and mother, Iris. Spring has arrived in Tama, a small village hidden between a cluster of tall mountains. When winter’s snow and ice begins to melt away, new traces of Isak start to appear. All of the uncertainty surrounding his disappearance, and not having a grave to visit, has become an unbearable pain for his mother to endure. Iris and her father Karl, the retired sheriff in Tama, have left no stone unturned in their search for Isak, and the mystery has evolved into an obsession.
Is the disappearance of Isak an unsolvable riddle?
When a handwritten note is found in Isak’s backpack, indicating that Isak’s stepfather Kim might be the perpetrator, Kim ends up committing suicide. This causes Iris and Karl to cast aside all rational arguments, and they decide to contact the medium Hugo Brenner – who has been offering his services for a while. Karl knows that Hugo Brenner has solved many challenging cases for the police in the past, and is known to leave no method untried. The psychic Hugo arrives at the isolated village and moves into a spare room at Iris’ house, who welcomes her guest with enthusiastic expectation. Here they will live together until they find an answer.
The townspeople are slightly disturbed by Hugo’s presence, and begin to act suspiciously. But do they really have something to hide? In order to get closer to the unknown, Hugo decides to move into the room where Isak disappeared that fateful winter night one year ago. Within this energy field Hugo soon begins to “see” signs. Signs that he interprets with Karl’s help. Is Hugo really capable of communicating directly with Isak? Is Iris’s son dead or alive? Hugo claims that Isak is trying to warn his mother of imminent danger. How far is she willing to go to solve the disappearance of her son?
