When animal phobic teenager Dougie Dolittle has a chance meeting with Polly, the long lost family parrot, she unlocks his innate talent: Dougie can talk with and understand animals! Finding this gift more like a curse, Dougie must learn to overcome his fears in order to help his newfound animal friends take down the unethical Kingcorps, save the city from rampaging giant zoo animals, and ultimately accept his legacy.
