    • Synopsis
    • Until recently some people thought he was dead. Others thought that he'd never existed. Some suggested the extravagant theory that he and infamous Ed Wood were one and the same person. Now he really is dead. One of the greatest erotic filmmakers in the U. S., Stephen Apostolof escaped a Communist dictatorship in Eastern Europe in the cargo compartment of a ship to make his American dream come true – and become one of the fathers of sexploitation cinema.
A former political prisoner, macho sexploitation filmmaker and devoted Christian family man, today A.C.Stephen and his films inspire conscious and unconscious following in all spheres of modern life, from avant-garde contemporary art to mainstream household interiors. A film about the cult B-movie era of the 60s and “the age of innocence” of the erotic cinema.
