    • Synopsis
    • Present day. FRANK, a charismatic and striking 75 year old wine farmer, dies unexpectedly while driving through the fields of his New Zealand estate.
Three women from FRANK’S past are notified of his death: the ravishing ESTHER in Auckland, the self-assured MARJORIE in Holland, and the unpretentious ADA living in Greymouth, a small farming community in New Zealand. All three set off for the funeral including MARJORIE and her son BOB who will journey from The Netherlands.
1953. London. Three planes from three different nations (The Netherlands, England and New Zealand) are about to depart on the “Last Great Air Race” to see who can make it to New Zealand first. There is much excitement; the place is teeming with press and photographers. The KLM flight, the legendary BRIDE FLIGHT, is packed full of young brides-to-be. Among them are ADA, MARJORIE and ESTHER. A young handsome FRANK is there too, full of plans for a new life in an unknown land…
