    • Synopsis
    • Blouwyn is a slice of life and coming of age drama-comedy as we follow the lives of three unrelated couples brought together by a random decision and a little white lie. In typical ensemble style writing, we are given glimpses into the inner lives of the characters without becoming too familiar, but to which we can instantly relate. Situational comedy breaks the tension. Shot in the beautiful Western Cape, we are drawn into the lives of the colourful coloured community. It is in the picturesque village of Philedelphia that Sonja’s life is changed forever by the humble farming community she set out to deceive.
The film dares to visually explore traumatic scars left by cancer and abuse within relationships and how these scars shape the reality of the characters and inadvertently people.
Blouwyn is not your typical “boy meets girl” movie. It is a journey through the pre-sets of life!
