- Synopsis
- BIO is the story of a man who was born in 1959 and died in 2070 told by people who knew him and who influenced his long life path. Their accounts create a mosaic-like reconstruction of decisive moments in his life regarding both family aspects – which involved four marriages – and professional aspects related to his researches on the communication of howler monkeys (Latin American monkeys who make loud guttural sounds). The image of the main character is never shown. However, through the 39 different accounts and brief scenes that illustrate his most memorable experiences, the audience gets to know him with considerable depth. BIO’s false-documentary structure invites the audience to play a game that demands high interpretative and imaginative skills.
