- Synopsis
- Aspromonte (the harsh mountain), a place true to its own name, is hostile, wild and archaic but at the same time strikingly beautiful and evocative. It is here that an Irish archeologist and a group of “tombaroli”( local tomb raiders connected to the mafia) look to find and sell the many ancient artifacts left behind from the time of the ancient Greek settlements. One night, deep in the mountains, the men are hard at work when suddenly the police raids their archeological site. They arrest everyone in sight and only the Irishman manages to escape. Determined to continue his search for the archeological treasure, the Irishmen recruits two helpers and heads back into the mountains. But everything doesn’t go as planned...
