- Sam Coyle is a boundary pushing director/writer/producer whose projects challenge norms while employing her unique, edgy style of storytelling. She relishes the opportunity to highlight strong female perspectives and the weird and amazing of the underrepresented. With various short films screened at festivals around the world, Coyle has taken the next step with her directorial debut feature, Hazy Little Thing, which is currently in post production. Sam just wrapped production on, Avocado Toast, a 10 episode web series funded by Bell Media and IPF. Sam’s co-produced and co-storied feature film The Definites screened at domestic and international festivals (Whistler, Bahamas, Cucalorus, Key West) and is now available on Crave-TV and Amazon. The young filmmaker’s second written feature, White River, is currently in development and was Top Ten at the Vancouver's International Women’s Film Festival screenplay competition, shortlisted for NSI’s Features First 2019 program. Sam also founded ‘With Wolves Media’, an independent media collective comprised of innovative, local artists, with her twin brother Nick Coyle.
