    • Synopsis
    • Autumn 1943, in a small village in France. In theheart of a forest, Anna the young baker of the village discovers a wounded German soldier and decides to help him. His fate will be greatly disrupted by the tragic events of the Second World War. Stalked by the Germans, she will see her family slaughtered by the invader and will join the resistance. She will face many obstacles to save the man she loves.

The film stands out from other historical films in its indirect approach to the violence of war. Its purpose is to show the context and the insubordination of the French people vis-à-vis the invader. It evokes the French resistance and the German resistance and these people who, by conviction, disobeyed their nation. In addition, Autumn 1943 tells the story of Joseph Bauer from the point of view of the female protagonist, Anna. The director pays tribute to the role of women during the war, whose courage is shown through the evolution of his main character.
