- Synopsis
- “Asteroide 2518” is an autobiographical documentary that follows the personal journey of its protagonist and director, Amanda Rutllant (32), in the quest to tell the story of her astrophysicist great-grandfather, Federico Rutllant, an important scientific figure key to the positioning of Chile as world astronomical capital. What begins with the discovery of some vaults that contained unpublished documents of Federico, ends up becoming the personal story of Amanda, who is affected by an autoimmune disease that threatens her and the making of her film.
