    • Synopsis
    • Ankara, 1997, autumn... Başak (8) feels the absence of her mother, who she lost a while ago. Over time, Başak has become introverted, and the feeling of emptiness inside her has deepened. With the imagination of a child, Başak roams in different realms, bringing seashells her mother left behind to her ear, believing she can hear her mother's voice from the past, and finds solace in this.
Selim (43) enrolls his daughter in the same school that his son, Berk (13), attends. This change marks the beginning of a challenging period for Başak. She cannot easily socialize with her new classmates, who already know each other, and she envies them. The mood swings of Berk, who is just stepping into adolescence, Başak's complex emotional world, and Selim's loneliness affects the family deeply.
One day, Başak can no longer hear the whispers from her mother's seashells. This disappointment matures Başak. Over time, she begins to express her anger, joy, and sadness. She takes revenge on the classmates she envied, the bond between her and Berk strengthens day by day, and finally, she hugs her father and cries.

Başak is now engaged in life. She understands that her mother will not return and that life will go on.
