- Synopsis
- The story revolves around an ensemble of characters whose lives revolve around the border town of Mae Sot and the Hope Clinic, which is situated in this town. As civil war rages on in Burma, we follow a group of characters (the founder of Hope Clinic, a backpack medic, a little girl who aspires to be a backpack medic, an Amercian war veteran fighting for the ethnic minority group of Karen, a human trafficker, a foreign journalist, a Burmese soldier and a HIV postitive villager) as they struggle for survival and save their humanity amidst the chaos and tragedy around them.
