    • Synopsis
    • Sardinia, 1940. Annetta lives alone, respected, but religiously avoided by a community that fears her. She is feared because she is the town's "Accabadora, the bringer of "Good Death." Based on a real anthropological figure extant in rural Sardinia until the '50's, "THE ACCABADORA" is not a film about euthanasia, but centered on a woman's need to be accepted and loved and her desire to change a destiny seemingly written in stone by social conventions.
