- Synopsis
- Chinese American Wei Wende was crazy about music, but he was encountering himself into music composing. His mentor Hawking was impressed by a theme song from the movie 'Third Sister Liu', and encouraged Wei Wende to find the inspiration of composing from his homeland. Wei's grandpa who loved the singing of Third Sister Liu had always been worried about Wei's marriage. Having known Wei would come back to China, he secretly arranged his friend Uncle Mo to find girlfriend for Wei, and hoped he could marry a Guangxi girl who could sing and dance as well as Third Sister Liu. But Wei Wende didn't know any of this.
  Since Wei Wende was about to visit Guangxi, Uncle Mo found the travel agency he used to work to arrange a qualified tour guide A Mei. At the same time, Uncle Mo arranged all the best Minority singers in Guangxi like Zhuang, Miao, Yao, Dong, Jing, etc. to sing the folk songs for Wei Wende. And of course, there was another purpose that was to find a girl from these singers for him.
  Unfortunately, the tour guide A Mei had some personal affairs to deal with. So she asked her best friend Liu Tiantian to do her a favor. Liu Tiantian had to shut her souvenir store temporarily to take this risk of being a tour guide for Wei Wende.
  On this trip, Liu Tiantian showed Wei Wende all the scenery of Yao, Miao, Dong, Zhuang, Jing, etc. They had a great time dancing and singing with all the local people, meanwhile as the leader of the Little Third Sister Liu group, Liu Tiantian sometimes sneaked off to pass the songs.
  Wei Wende was moved by the beautiful voice and harmonious lifestyle of Guangxi people that he was so confused about the local customs and made a lot of mistakes. When Liu Tiantian found out the real purpose of Wei Wende's visit , she thought Wei was a playboy who just wanted to find girls here. And they got into a fight. But Wei's true love for music makes Liu Tiantian realize that Wei knew nothing about finding a girlfriend. So she helped Wei to get rid of Uncle Mo's arrangement again and again.
  The beautiful melody brought Wei and Liu together, they started to have feelings for each other. But as A Mei showed up, they had a misunderstanding again. A Mei who knew that Wei came for girls told Liu Tiantian Wei was the one she had been looking for. This made Liu feel very sad and helpless because she didn't want to hurt her best friend. Then she decided to go back home to pass the songs to her group. But Wei missed her so much.
  When kindhearted A Mei realized that Wei was not into her, she decided to encourage Wei to find his love back.
  When Wei Wende came to Liu Tiantian's hometown, he heard her singsing. And he finally realized that the Third Sister Liu he had been looking for was Liu Tiantian. And he bravely showed his love for her.
  As the music starts, the loving couple can finally be together.
