    • Synopsis
    • Counsellor Riddick is the major of Montague, a dead-end Australian Coastal town where he plans to push through a lucrative development of high-rise hotels. The development stalled when he can’t get permission to demolish the old town hall, the home to the Montague Marching Band, his hopes are pinned on the band’s imminent failure at the upcoming Marching Band Competition.
When band leader Ed Flack is confined to hospital after being hit by a bus it seems Counsellor Riddick will get his wish, until Ed convinces his son Kevin to take over. A rock guitarist with a keen dislike for marching bands, Kevin steps in to take over the marching band and to modernise and motivate its elderly, but enthusiastic, members. With a seeming impossible task ahead, Kevin finds his stride and with the help of counsellor Riddick’s beautiful daughter Grace creates a capable, albeit unconventional competitive marching band.
