Description
SPIRA in an independent film cooperative based in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Resulting from the merger, in 2015, of Spirafilm (founded in 1977) and Video Femmes (founded in 1975), SPIRA supports and stimulates the creation and production in independent cinema made by Canadian (and more especially Quebec) filmmakers. We distribute works to ensure their dissemination in Quebec, in Canada and internationally.
Objective
1/ To promote and distribute Canadian (and more especially Quebec) independent cinema worldwide. 2/ To find new broadcast partners (TV, platform, Institutionnal, etc.) 3/ To discover or follow Canadian (and more especially Quebec) filmmakers.
