Opia Films was founded by multi-disciplinary filmmaker Arya Lalloo in 2021 and aims to produce groundbreaking non-fiction and narrative cinema of high artistic calibre for the international stage. Female owned and managed, it aims to support provocative voices of all kinds that push against aesthetic, political and economic barriers onscreen and off. The company is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
