Nitrato Filmes is a portuguese distribution company focusing in quality films from all over the world. In a short period of time, we managed to give rise to a constant presence of art house cinema in the Portuguese theaters. In our path, inicially very directed towards Portuguese-language cinema, we have tried to establish a healthy counterpoint between known authors and emerging filmmakers. In 2017, we decided to extend our action to the exhibition, through the reopening of the emblematic Cinema Trindade, thus creating an anchor space for independent cinema in the city center of Porto, proposing a diverse and carefully thought of programming.
