Muritiba Filmes was founded by Aly Muritiba, a distinguished Brazilian director and screenwriter, and has had its films showcased at prestigious international festivals, including Sundance ("Rust," 2018), Venice ("Tarantula," 2015; "Private Desert," 2021), San Sebastián ("To My Beloved," 2015; "Rust," 2018), and Cannes' La Semaine de la Critique ("Pátio," 2013). Muritiba Filmes have won more than 200 awards at film festivals worldwide.
