Description

In 2002 Pablo Trapero establishes MATANZA CINE, a production company intended to produce fiction as well as documentary films, developing co-productions with different countries from Latin America and overseas. In addition, it offers production and postproduction services for film, television and advertising.Matanza Cine's first task was the post-production and release of "El bonaerense", Trapero's second feature. From this moment on, the company produced feature films different in style and content: Raúl Perrone’s "La Mecha" (Horizontes Latinos-San Sebastián 2003); Enrique Bellande’s documentary "Ciudad de María" (IDFA 2001) ; Pablo Trapero’s third feature film, "Familia Rodante" (Horizonti - Venecia 2004); "Géminis" (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs–Cannes 2005), by the Argentinean director Albertina Carri; Alex Bowen’s "Mi Mejor Enemigo" (Chilean-Argentine-Spanish co-production), "Mbya Tierra en Rojo", documentary film directed by Philip Cox and Valeria Mapelman and Fernando Vargas Vill
