Description
Maipo Film’s first film was the Oscar-nominated Elling (2001), and since then the company has produced more than 35 movies and 4 TV dramas and distinguished itself as one of Scandinavia’s preeminent production companies. Maipo has produced films such as Sundance winner Happy, Happy (2010), Karlovy Vary winner The Art of Negative Thinking (2006) and Liv Ullmann’s Miss Julie (2014), starring Jessica Chastain and Colin Farrell as well as the critically acclaimed box office hit The Christmas of Louis & Luca and The Ash Lad: In the Hall of the Mountain King (2017). Maipo is currently in post-production with three feature films; Louis & Luca – Mission to the Moon (2018), Queen of Ice (2018) and Harajuku (2018), as well as the drama series State of Happiness (2018).
