Description
The FCGD is an initiative of FUNGLODE, with its nerve center in the dominican capital, Santo Domingo. Our inhabitants are part of the festival and they enjoy the opportunity to not only see great productions; but also to be part of ongoing discussions through films, social, political and economic issues. In 2017 the FCGD received the accreditation from the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) as a Competitive Feature Film Festival specialised in First Films.
Objective
To enrich the film culture of the Dominican Republic. To show a wide variety of films that are generally not available to the Dominican public. To show films that connect with Dominican youth and at the same time expand their appreciation of film. To show films that entertain as well as improve our understanding of global issues.
