Description
Content with purpose: Canadian production company Cedar Island Films was founded in 2018 by seasoned producers Andrew Williamson and Henrik Meyer to produce meaningful docs, scripted series and feature dramas with a focus on international co-productions. Their first int'l feature doc co-pro THE WHALE AND THE RAVEN has been successfully released and the second one is in post, THE MAGNITUDE OF ALL THINGS directed by Jenn Abbott. Cedar Island has international docs and dramas on its slate.
Objective
After successfully completing and releasing feature documentaries and service producing television dramas, our objective is to move forward with our doc series and drama series in development on one hand and to find international partners for co-productions on the other. As a Canadian company, our focus is on co-productions with Europe so far but we are looking for co-production opportunities from anywhere in the world. We are especially driven by environmental, socio-critical and LGBT+ themes.
