Description
Aqueles Films is a film production company based in São Paulo dedicated to creating high-quality works that tackle bold subjects. Led by an LGBTQ+ and PoC team, the company uses genre narratives and a pop approach to foster diversity and inspire new dialogues.
Objective
The team is seeking co-producers, distributors and festival programmers for the projects: Raised from the Ground, the team’s first horror feature, is set to be filmed in 2025 and already has 80% of its budget secured. The feature doc Whipping Hair, currently in the final stages of post-production, which investigates the origins of the Bate Cabelo performance - a signature dance move of drag queens in Brazil. The shorts Picumã and Paladin for LGBTQ+ sections and genre works in festivals.
