    • Synopsis
    • What does it mean to be Che's brother? 'Ernesto is my brother and Che is my companion'. Juan Martin, younger brother of Ernesto Che Guevara, the only one of the brothers who has decided to speak, after almost 50 years, offers his testimony, unique and unpublished, because it is a historical emergency.
CHE, with his mythical, sometimes mystical figure, one of the most significant personalities in history and the most influential of the 20th century, is moving further and further away from reality, from people and from "human". Che did not come out of a magician's hat, but became Che as a man, in an ever-evolving journey, and, as a man, there is another Che to be discovered: 'If you don't know him, if you don't know what his life was like, if you don't know what his family was like and where he came from, it is almost impossible to get to him.'-JM-
Travelling through Argentina, Cuba and Italy, JM meets ordinary people to talk about his brother, with whom he grew up, loved as a younger brother and then admired as an adult for his convictions, actions and consistency. Nothing is more unexpected than to attend JM's meetings in public squares, in universities, in poor neighbourhoods. To discover, with surprise, that, after so many years since his death, he is still a living symbol, especially among the younger generations and among the variety of social levels, who respectfully and attentively come together to listen to him and ask questions. First of all: "Why Che, what does it mean today?"
For the first time, JM opens the unpublished family archives and the doors of Cuba to meet Che's son and his comrades, who have never voiced their opinions. A sincere and censure-free look reveals the attitudes, gestures and thoughts of a person unlike any other. The vision of the family in which the man grew up represents the struggle against injustice, of the humble against the powerful.
JM's questions and answers with renowned political leaders, international sports and entertainment personalities, with Ernesto Guevara Jr. on his motorbike in Cuba, and also the meeting of two brothers: Raul Castro and JM Guevara.
